US LiDAR company Cepton acquired by Japan's Koito

Cepton, a US lidar company, announced that it has been acquired by Koito, a Japanese automotive lighting system supplier, effective January 7, 2025. Cepton will become a privately held subsidiary of Koito in the United States and continue to operate its corporate headquarters in San Jose, California.
