Rohde & Schwarz and Vector Informatik have joined forces to advance hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) verification of automotive radar sensors in the field of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD). The two parties combined the DYNA4 virtual driving simulation platform with the latest R&S radar target simulation system to achieve comprehensive testing of key ADAS safety functions, including emergency braking and other scenarios. This test technology is mainly used in the complex and costly real-time embedded system development process, replacing actual vehicle operations with electronic simulation.
