The vehicle-road-cloud integrated technology route complements the intelligence of a single vehicle. In the future, high-level autonomous driving will still require a single vehicle to have self-driving capabilities. The vehicle side needs to add OBU components for communication between the vehicle and the roadside, which costs about RMB 900-1100. The cost of intersection equipment is about RMB 450,000-500,000, including 30-35 sets of equipment, such as AI cameras, panoramic fisheye cameras, millimeter-wave radars, etc. The construction cost of the intersection is about RMB 850,000-900,000, and the cost of building a cloud control platform is at the level of 100 million yuan. So far, 34-35 cities have submitted applications, and it is expected that 15-20 cities will become the first batch of pilot cities.
