Geely launches a new generation of Aegis Dagger batteries, which will be installed in the new pure electric SUV

Geely Auto will release its self-developed new generation of "blade-shaped" lithium iron phosphate battery, the Aegis Short Blade Battery, at the end of June. The battery will debut on the new pure electric SUV model "Galaxy E5". According to Gan Jiayue, CEO of Geely Auto Group, this battery has achieved technological breakthroughs in safety, cycle life, fast charging capability and low-temperature discharge performance. The new generation of Aegis Short Blade Battery adopts a shorter and more compact design, which improves safety, enhances the flexibility of the whole pack layout, and increases the energy density to nearly 200Wh/kg.
