Samsung has decided to reduce NAND flash memory production, primarily at its Xi'an, China plant, in anticipation of a price collapse. This is reportedly to protect profitability as global NAND continues to be in oversupply and prices are expected to plummet this year. Samsung has decided to reduce NAND production at its Xi'an plant by more than 10%, with monthly output expected to drop from 200,000 wafers to 170,000 wafers.
