Dongfeng Motor Corporation achieved the first tape-out of three domestically-produced automotive-grade chips, achieving a breakthrough in core technology

Since its establishment in 2022, the Hubei Automotive-Grade Chip Industry Technology Innovation Consortium, led by Dongfeng Motor Corporation, has gradually "borne fruit" in the control of key core technologies. It has achieved the first tape-out (trial production) of three domestically blank automotive-grade chips, and completed the country's first automotive-grade MCU chip based on the RISC-V instruction set architecture. It has made breakthroughs in core technologies such as automotive chip definition, design, and process, and gradually realized the creation of key chips from scratch, driving the automotive industry to solve the chip shortage problem and firmly promoting the replacement of domestic chips.
