Nvidia has reached an agreement with Ooredoo to introduce its AI technology to data centers in five countries in the Middle East. Telecom giant Ooredoo will provide Nvidia's AI and HPC GPUs in its data centers in Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait and the Maldives. This development makes Ooredoo the first company in the region to offer such services to customers, giving them a significant competitive advantage in deploying generative AI applications. Ooredoo announced that it will invest US$1 billion to increase its regional data center capacity by 20 to 25 MW from the current 40 MW, with plans to almost triple this number by the end of the decade. This reflects its commitment to installing massive amounts of computing power.
