Nissan denies closing Jiangsu Changzhou plant

Recently, Nissan Motor was rumored to close its passenger car factory in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China, which is a joint venture with Dongfeng Motor. However, Dongfeng Nissan has explicitly denied the news, saying that the factory has not been closed, but only temporarily stopped production. Dongfeng Nissan announced that 300 employees of the Changzhou plant will be given internal choices for about 600 positions, including job opportunities in Changzhou City or Dongfeng Group's companies. For employees who do not want to transfer, the company will also assist in the termination of labor contracts. Regarding the employee compensation plan, there are reports that it may not be less than "n+3".
