Renesas Electronics Releases New R-Car Open Access (RoX) Platform to Support Software-Defined Car Development

Renesas Electronics has launched the R-Car Open Access (RoX) platform, which is designed to accelerate the development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs). The platform integrates key hardware, operating systems, and software tools, enabling developers to quickly develop next-generation vehicles with security and continuous software update capabilities. The RoX platform supports applications in areas such as ADAS, IVI, and gateway systems, and provides a cloud-native AI development environment. In addition, the platform also supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services, enabling developers to innovate and optimize their designs more efficiently.
