Beijing Skoda 4S stores undergo major adjustments, some stores closed

Recently, many Skoda 4S stores in Beijing have undergone major adjustments. Some dealer groups that operate both SAIC Volkswagen and Skoda brands have transferred Skoda business to Volkswagen brand stores. Two other large dealer groups that only operate the Skoda brand have closed their Skoda stores. Skoda brand sales in the Chinese market continue to be sluggish, with only 22,800 new cars delivered in 2023 and cumulative sales of just over 5,000 units from January to May this year. Among them, Kamiq had the highest sales in May, at 408 units, while Octavia had the lowest sales, at only 51 units. This may mean that Skoda will gradually withdraw from the Chinese market.
