U.S. Commerce Department expands export controls on advanced chips to more than 40 countries

The U.S. Department of Commerce has expanded the scope of countries that need to apply for export licenses to more than 40 countries to prevent restricted chips from bypassing other countries and eventually entering China. The affected chips include A100, A800, H100, H800, L40, L40S and RTX 4090.
