Two Korean AI chip makers seek merger to challenge Nvidia

South Korean artificial intelligence chip companies Rebellions and Sapeon Korea are seeking to merge to take the lead in the race to develop next-generation chips. The merged company will seek to gain a strong position in the field of neural processing units (NPUs) used in artificial intelligence, challenging Nvidia, the global AI chip leader.
