Silicon Box plans to build a new factory in Italy to focus on chiplet production

According to the latest reports, Singapore semiconductor company Silicon Box plans to invest up to US$3.6 billion in the next few years to build a new chip factory in the town of Novara, Piedmont, Italy. The factory will focus on semiconductor assembly and testing of chiplets to support the company's next-generation technology to be launched in 2028. When the factory is fully operational, it is expected to provide more than 1,600 jobs locally.
