WeRide and Zurich Airport collaborate to launch Europe’s first airport autonomous driving commercial project

On January 9, 2025, WeRide and Zurich Airport in Switzerland launched the test operation of autonomous minibuses, which is the first autonomous minibus project at an airport in Europe. WeRide minibuses will provide shuttle services at Zurich Airport, each with a maximum capacity of 9 passengers, and the operating route extends from the employee entrance at Gate 101 to the maintenance area at Gate 130. The project is led by Zurich Airport, and WeRide is responsible for providing technology.
