BYD Dolphin Essentials launched in Australia, further lowering the price of electric cars in Australia

BYD has launched its first sub-$30,000 electric car in Australia, the Dolphin Essentials, priced from $29,990 before on-road costs. This model is cheaper than the previous Dolphin Standard model, but has a simplified configuration, excluding a panoramic sunroof, heated seats and wireless phone charging, but it still uses BYD's 44.9 kWh Blade Battery, which provides a WLTP range of up to 350 km (217 miles).
