Mahle Group, a German auto parts manufacturer, recently decided to sell its automotive powertrain and engineering services business in the United States to the Belgian Dumarey Group. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter, and the specific price has not yet been disclosed. Mahle Group's North American headquarters in the suburbs of Detroit said that it chose to withdraw due to the small share and fierce competition in the US market. The Dumarey Group will take over Mahle's office and R&D center in Plymouth, Michigan, which has 70 employees and focuses on developing and testing electric and hybrid systems for American customers.
