Webasto plans massive layoffs

Webasto also negotiated with the trade union committee and decided to cut about 1,600 jobs out of a total of 16,600, but this was not enough. At the end of 2024, Webasto had to admit to creditors that the performance was worse than previously expected. By the end of 2023, Webasto owed banks more than 1 billion euros. The largest part of this came from a syndicated loan totaling 878 million euros, which has been basically used up.
