Webasto sells electric vehicle charging solutions business to focus on core business

Due to miscalculations in the electric vehicle charging solution business, Webasto sold its loss-making charging business to US financial investor Transom Capital in early 2024. The company's CEO Holger Engelmann said that the company's limited resources were the reason for the sale. In order to improve its risk resistance, Webasto hopes to focus on its core business - roof and battery systems.
