Samsung Electronics denies rumors of 3nm wafer production defects

Samsung Electronics has strongly denied rumors that its foundry division's 3-nanometer wafer production has been defective. Earlier reports said that 2,500 batches of defects in the second-generation 3-nanometer process had caused a loss of 1 trillion won and the affected wafers needed to be disposed of. Samsung refuted these claims as "groundless" and said that 3-nanometer production has not yet reached 60,000 wafers per month and that the process still needs to undergo various inspections.
