Domestic American pickup trucks are not popular in the domestic market, and sales are declining

Although American pickups such as the Dodge RAM, Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado are popular among some car enthusiasts, data shows that sales of these full-size pickup trucks are declining in the domestic market. According to the China Passenger Car Association, the total sales of pickup trucks in 2024 will be 546,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%, but exports account for as much as 45%, indicating weak domestic market demand. At the same time, although domestic American pickups such as the Great Wall Cannon series, Jiangling Avenue, and the domestic Ford Ranger are still popular, their sales growth mainly depends on the export market.
