LG Energy Solution plans to produce 4680 batteries for Tesla in 2024

LG Energy Solution (LGES) plans to start producing 4680 batteries for Tesla from August 2024. Previously, the company said in February this year that it planned to start producing the battery in August and September. Recent news said that LGES plans to produce Tesla's 4680 batteries at its Ochang plant in South Korea by August. This will make LGES the world's first battery manufacturer to mass-produce 4680 batteries.
