GM Cruise appoints new CEO

General Motors' self-driving taxi division Cruise announced that Marc Whitten will serve as the new CEO, who will officially take office on July 16. Prior to this, Cruise's original CEO and co-founder Kyle Vogt resigned in November 2023.
