Dongfeng Nissan increases investment in electric vehicles

Dongfeng Nissan plans to inject more than 10 billion yuan into the electric vehicle sector over the next three years. The company will increase its R&D staff from 1,600 to 4,000, leveraging local talent and technology to expand the Chinese market. By the end of 2026, Dongfeng Nissan plans to launch seven electric vehicle models in China and set an initial goal of exporting 100,000 vehicles. Nissan's goal is to sell 1 million vehicles in China by March 2027.
