Renault Group establishes R&D center in Shanghai

Luca De Meo, CEO of French automaker Renault Group, recently revealed in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that Renault Group has established a research and development center with about 150 people in Shanghai to develop electric vehicles for the European market, including the new generation of pure electric models Twingo E-Tech. De Meo said that China's electric vehicle industry has absolute advantages in research and development speed, cost and technology, and cooperation with Chinese manufacturers is crucial for European automakers.
