Nissan has serious overcapacity in China

According to the information released on Dongfeng Nissan's official website, its production bases in Guangzhou, Xiangyang, Zhengzhou, Dalian, Changzhou and Wuhan have an annual production capacity of 1.6 million vehicles. However, the production and sales report released by Dongfeng Motor Group shows that Dongfeng Nissan's annual output in 2023 will only be 737,100 vehicles, and the capacity utilization rate will be only 46.07%. Therefore, how to deal with idle production capacity has become an urgent problem for Dongfeng Nissan.
