US plans to require all new cars to have AEB by 2029

The US NHTSA announced plans to include automatic emergency braking (AEB) and pedestrian AEB systems in all light vehicles under new federal motor vehicle safety standards by 2029. This includes cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks.
