SAIC Volkswagen celebrates its 40th anniversary and signs multiple technical cooperation agreements with Volkswagen Group

On June 27, 2024, SAIC Volkswagen celebrated its 40th anniversary. On this special day, Volkswagen Group and SAIC Group announced that they would further deepen their cooperation and signed a number of technical cooperation agreements involving new product projects. These agreements include the development of three plug-in hybrid models and two pure electric models in China. It is expected that these new models will be launched on the market from 2026 to 2030. On May 20, SAIC Group and Audi signed a cooperation agreement in Shanghai, officially launching the joint development of the SAIC Audi Advanced Digitized Platform intelligent digital platform. In addition, the new intelligent digital platform production base has also begun to be updated, and the new car is expected to roll off the assembly line in 2025.
