The commencement of construction of the second phase of Hengmei Optoelectronics will contribute to the development of ultra-large screens worldwide. The project can produce up to 130-inch ultra-large screens. After reaching full production, the project will add an annual production capacity of 120 million square meters, with an output value of over 6 billion yuan and tax revenue of 500 million yuan. The global share of products will exceed 40%. Since settling in Kunshan in 2014, Hengmei Optoelectronics has continued to innovate independently and break through the limits. In 2014, the introduction of a 1.5-meter polarizer production line effectively alleviated the situation of being "controlled by others" for key materials for LCD screens; in 2017, the world's first ultra-wide 2.5-meter production line was invested and built, driving a wave of localization in the polarizer industry.
