Geely Automobile recently announced that it has released the latest generation of "blade-type" lithium iron phosphate batteries developed and produced by itself - the Aegis Dagger Battery. Geely Automobile said that compared with existing products on the market, the Aegis Dagger battery has significant advantages in safety performance, cycle life, fast charging capability and low-temperature discharge. The battery has a cycle life of 3,500 cycles and can safely travel more than 1 million kilometers; it successfully passed the 8-needle simultaneous puncture test, which allowed eight steel needles with a diameter of 5mm to be pierced at the same time and left to stand for 1 hour. The battery core did not smoke, fire, or explosion; in a temperature environment of -30°C, the battery capacity is still above 90%; in terms of energy density, the energy density of the Aegis Dagger battery reaches 192Wh/kg.
