FAW launches SiC electric drive project to enhance technological competitiveness

China First Automobile Co., Ltd. recently launched a new SiC electric drive project to improve the company's technological competitiveness in the field of new energy vehicles. The project will use the existing M220 electric drive production line for transformation and introduce M190-150 (SiC) electric drive products, with an estimated annual production capacity of 140,000 units. In March of this year, the M220 SiC electric drive was successfully mass-produced and rolled off the production line. This electric drive will serve as the core assembly of the Hongqi HME platform and match five new energy main sales models such as EH7, E202, and E702.
