SAIC Volkswagen celebrates its 40th anniversary and reviews its development history

SAIC Volkswagen was founded 40 years ago and is one of the earliest joint venture automakers in China. Headquartered in Anting, Shanghai, it has established production bases in Nanjing, Yizheng, Urumqi, Ningbo, Changsha, etc. In 2015, SAIC Volkswagen's sales exceeded FAW-Volkswagen, becoming the sales champion of domestic passenger car companies, but it was challenged by competitors such as FAW-Volkswagen in the following years.
