Rolls-Royce and technology partners develop highly efficient hydrogen engine for stationary power generation

Rolls-Royce has teamed up with five companies and research institutes to develop the technology required to create a first-of-its-kind, highly efficient hydrogen internal combustion engine for combined heat and power (CHP) systems. The consortium aims to develop an efficient hydrogen engine that can generate the same amount of electricity and heat as current natural gas CHP units.
