Skoda business merged into SAIC Volkswagen system

According to reports, Skoda's production, distribution and brand operations in the Chinese market have been integrated into the SAIC Volkswagen system. According to people familiar with the matter, Skoda has shut down its first factory in Anting, Shanghai, and moved some production lines to Jiangsu. Currently, Skoda and SAIC Volkswagen share the Changsha and Nanjing factories, but more resources are being poured into SAIC Volkswagen's production. It will also shift its development focus to emerging markets such as Vietnam and India.
