Polestar Automotive adjusts its business in the Chinese market, lays off 30% of its employees and closes its Chengdu factory

In order to cope with the severe financial pressure, Polestar has made drastic adjustments to its business in the Chinese market. Before September this year, Polestar Technology (China) announced that it would lay off about 30% of its employees, with the biggest impact on supply-side employees. In addition, Polestar also decided to close its production plant in Chengdu and transfer production work to the Chongqing plant and Geely plant.
