VMware lays off 170 employees in China

It is reported that VMware's sales and pre-sales team in China will lay off about 170 people, with a total of 200 people in the team. The remaining 30 people will join Jiajie Technology. In November 2023, chip giant Broadcom announced the completion of its acquisition of virtual software service provider VMware for US$69 billion, and then began a series of reforms to VMware, including firing 1,300 employees, selling non-core businesses for US$4 billion, and stopping the supply of 59 products.
