Volkswagen faces challenges in software

Volkswagen has invested heavily in the software field, but its software subsidiary CARIAD suffered heavy losses in 2021-2023, which were 1.327 billion euros, 2.068 billion euros, and 2.392 billion euros, respectively. Although Volkswagen's original intention in the software field was to establish a unified operating system vw.os and a standardized infotainment platform, the current progress is not ideal. Industry insiders said that the car system of the Volkswagen ID series is still relatively backward.
