TSMC's revenue and profit in the first quarter of 2024

TSMC's revenue in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 12.9% year-on-year to US$18.87 billion, and its profit increased by 8.9% year-on-year to US$6.96 billion. However, compared with the fourth quarter of the previous year, revenue and net profit fell by 5.3% and 5.5%, respectively. TSMC's full-year revenue in 2023 was US$69.298 billion, with a gross profit margin of 54.4%, an operating profit margin of 42.6%, and a net profit after tax of US$31.389 billion. Among them, the 3nm process accounted for 6% of the wafer sales amount, 5nm process shipments increased to 33%, 7nm dropped to 19%, 16nm was 10%, and 28nm was 10%.
