LG plans to commercialize dry coating technology in 2028

LG New Energy Solution Co., Ltd. announced that it expects to commercialize dry coating technology by 2028, which will help reduce the production cost of electric vehicle batteries. This technology will replace the high-energy wet process and is expected to reduce production costs by 30%. Tesla, CATL, Panasonic, EVE Energy and Honeycomb Energy Technology are among companies developing dry electrode technology to improve the performance and reduce costs of electric vehicle batteries.
