ROHM Semiconductor opens second plant in Miyazaki, Japan to produce SiC substrates

Isao Matsumoto, president of Rohm Semiconductor Co., Ltd., announced that it will open a second factory in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan to produce 8-inch SiC substrates, mainly for internal needs of the company, and is expected to start production in 2024. This is the first time that Rohm has produced SiC substrates in Japan.
