Wuhan: The rise of the autonomous driving capital

Wuhan is rapidly becoming a leading city in autonomous driving technology. Since the establishment of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test Demonstration Zone in 2019, the pace of autonomous driving commercialization has accelerated. Autonomous vehicles from companies such as Dongfeng Yuexiang and Baidu's "Carrot Run" provide travel services in the city, serving more than 1.98 million people in total. Wuhan has 3,379 kilometers of autonomous driving test roads covering 12 administrative districts. Baidu has invested 1,000 Carrot Run driverless taxis in Wuhan and has received a total of 5 million orders.
