Albert Handtmann Metal Castings acquires new die-casting machine

Albert Handtmann Metal Castings, Europe's first Tier 1 supplier, recently purchased a 6100T ultra-large die-casting unit and added a GDKnext 4800 cold chamber die-casting machine from Fulai Germany. This new machine will be put into use at Handtmann's production base in Biberach, specifically for the production of battery frames for a German high-end brand. In the first half of this year, Handtmann received the largest order in its history from a well-known German OEM company, mainly for the production of high-pressure die-cast battery pack shells. It is expected that the ordered products will start mass production in 2026 and pre-mass production in 2024.
