Beijing plans to support self-driving cars in online ride-hailing

Beijing plans to pass legislation to support the use of autonomous vehicles in urban public bus passenger transport, online car-hailing, car rental and other urban travel services. This will help provide clear institutional norms for L3 and above autonomous driving vehicle market players. Currently, Beijing has issued licenses to 31 test vehicle companies, with an autonomous driving test mileage of more than 28 million kilometers.
