FAW's cooperation and investment in the field of solid-state batteries are mainly focused on resource sharing and collective development. FAW participated in the investment of Prologon, Guolian Research Institute and China Auto Innovation, and took the lead in establishing the "Solid-State Battery Industry Innovation Consortium". These collaborations are aimed at promoting the research and development and industrialization of solid-state batteries and improving FAW's competitiveness in the new energy vehicle market. At present, FAW has successfully developed a 22Ah battery cell with an energy density of 375Wh/kg, using a sulfide system and a high-nickel ternary positive electrode and a silicon-based negative electrode. Small-scale demonstration mass production is expected to be achieved in 2027.
