The first phase of Huawei's Guangzhou R&D Center is expected to be completed and delivered in September this year. At present, the main structures of the nine towers of the project have all been capped, and sub-project construction is underway. After completion, the project will accommodate about 5,000 people for R&D offices. Huawei's Guangzhou R&D Center Phase I project plans to engage in research and development in the fields of smart cars, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, aiming to accelerate the application of ICT (information and communication technology) in various industries in Guangzhou, seize strategic high ground in industries such as the integration of industrialization and information technology, smart cities, and 5G, and promote the formation of future industrial clusters such as smart cars and autonomous driving worth hundreds of billions of yuan.
