Japan's eight largest semiconductor manufacturers plan to invest 5 trillion yen in the next decade

Eight major semiconductor manufacturers in Japan announced that they will invest approximately 5 trillion yen to increase semiconductor production during fiscal years 2021 to 2029. These companies include Sony, Mitsubishi Electric, Rohm, Kioxia, Renesas, Rapidus, and Fuji Electric. They plan to expand the production capacity of power devices and image sensors.
