It is reported that the intelligent driving chip "Shenji NX9031" independently developed by NIO has been successfully taped out and tested. The chip is scheduled to be first installed in NIO's flagship sedan ET9 in the first quarter of 2025. It is reported that the NIO chip team is under great pressure to ensure that the new car ET9 next year can be smoothly equipped with this chip. The intelligent driving chip independently developed by Xiaopeng Motors has been designed and will soon be taped out for testing. The test results are expected to be received in August. Previously, after the unsuccessful cooperation with Marvell, Xiaopeng turned to cooperate with Socionext for chip design. Ideal Auto's intelligent driving chip project is code-named "Schumacher" and is expected to be completed within the year. Ideal Auto has strengthened the construction of its chip team since last year, and currently has about 200 people.
