Nvidia competitor Groq closes in on $300 million funding round

Nvidia's competitor Groq is reportedly expected to complete a $300 million round of financing in the next two weeks, led by BlackRock, with a company valuation of $2.2 billion. This valuation has doubled from $1.1 billion in 2021. Groq's founder Jonathan Ross was one of the inventors of Google's dedicated chip NPU.
