Pingshan District promotes the development of intelligent connected vehicle industry

Pingshan District actively promotes the development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry, and has gathered more than 300 new energy vehicle manufacturing, autonomous driving, key parts production, core material research and development companies represented by BYD. From January to April 2024, the total output value of new energy and intelligent connected vehicle enterprises above designated size was nearly 90 billion yuan. In 2023, the total output value of new energy and intelligent connected vehicle enterprises above designated size in Pingshan District exceeded 300 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of nearly 60%. BYD, the "leader" in the new energy vehicle industry, has its global headquarters located in Pingshan District, Shenzhen. The solid industrial foundation and the favorable policies of full-area opening have strongly supported BYD to become the first batch of L3-level intelligent connected vehicle access and road access pilot enterprises in the country, and also allowed Pingshan to gather potential leading enterprises such as Luobo Kuaipao, AutoX, Meituan, and Xinshiqi. Robotaxi, unmanned buses, unmanned minibuses, unmanned delivery, unmanned retail delivery and other landing forms are all available.
