SK Hynix subsidiary Absolics invests in glass substrate development

SK Hynix has entered the glass substrate field through its US subsidiary Absolics. Absolics has invested $300 million in a dedicated production facility in Covington, Georgia, and has begun mass production of prototype substrates. SK Hynix plans to start mass production in early 2025, making it one of the first companies to join the glass substrate competition.
