BYD has 5 Fudi-related companies

Fudi and BYD are from the same company. BYD has five Fudi-related companies under its umbrella, all of which are wholly owned by BYD. They are Fudi Battery, Fudi Power, Fudi Mould, Fudi Vision and Fudi Technology. Fudi Battery, formerly BYD Lithium Battery Co., Ltd., was established as early as 1998. It has a large battery R&D, design and production capacity. It is related to power batteries, energy storage batteries and 3C batteries, and has many scientific research results in new battery materials. At present, Fudi Battery has 16 power battery factories in production or under construction. In 2022, Fudi Battery plans to produce 280GWh of batteries. Blade batteries will be supplied to Tesla starting in the second quarter of 2022. Fudi Power is a merger of the former BYD 14th and 17th Divisions. The former is responsible for the R&D and production of the three core components of motors, electronic controls and power supplies, while the latter is responsible for the R&D and production of engines, transmissions, reducers and axles. It is committed to providing overall solution design, development and production of automotive powertrains. Fudi Technology has 18 years of experience in the R&D, production and sales of automotive electronics and chassis. It has ten product lines covering three major areas: passenger cars, commercial vehicles and rail transit. It supplies more than 170 product assemblies for BYD's mass-produced models.
